LOVE YOUR LAKE…

… because it’s your lake to love!

When you make a donation to the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center, you empower us to protect Lake Champlain, provide scholarships to those less fortunate, bring our community together on the water, and grow well into the future as your place to access and enjoy the lake. Your gift puts more of your neighbors in touch with a healthy lake so they’ll have the chance to experience all the reasons why so many people love the Community Sailing Center so much.

Dana Bolton Legacy Fund

Dana Bolton was a beloved volunteer, instructor, and board member of the CSC who passed away from brain cancer in May of 2020. Centered around the initiatives Dana was most passionate about, the DBLF will work in two main ways: the Dana Pier and Scholarship.

1. Construct the Dana Pier. Connecting land with water on our campus, the Dana Pier is the foundation element to provide a universally accessible waterfront and experiential learning for all on the water especially individuals with disabilities.

2. Establish the Dana Scholarship. A perennial restricted fund to assure access to the CSC’s signature LeaderShip program, focused on using sailing as a medium for building leadership skills in young people. The Dana Scholarship will be awarded annually to kids ages six to fourteen of limited socio-economic means from our community.

Derek Schueler Fund

Derek Schueler was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, scholar and friend who inspired happiness, hope and love through his extraordinary eyes and genuine smile. One of Derek’s gifts was that he could embrace others’ passions as his own unconditionally and without judgment. Derek loved spending his time on Lake Champlain with family and friends and we all hope, along with any who have had the pleasure of meeting Derek, that his legacy inspires others to seek the breath-taking beauty of Lake Champlain through the Derek Schueler Fund. 2023 funds received will be used to support the growth of our Adaptive Watersport opportunities.
