FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

  • Are the hours of operation changing?
    • Our Summer Camps will operate between 9am-4pm with early drop off and late pick up options available. We are thrilled to announce that CSC will be able to run ALL of our programming, that means adult programming and rentals too! Please follow this link to see our full hours of operation.
  • What safety measures are you using to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
    • The CSC is committed to following the safety protocols as defined by the Department of Children and Families. This includes but is not limited to the option for staggered pick-up and drop-off for families, daily health screenings, and regular cleaning and disinfection of the building and boats. CSC will also be requiring vaccination for all staff as a safety precaution.
  • What should I do in the event my child gets sick while at camp?
    • If a camper becomes ill during the hours of their program, their parent or guardian will be contacted immediately and the camper will be sent home as soon as possible. During the time the sick child remains at the CSC, they will be kept away from other campers to avoid the spread of contagion. If your child is exposed to an individual who has gotten sick outside of camp, please notify the CSC as soon as possible. Those exposed will be asked to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Vermont Department of Health.   • How is the CSC managing indoor spaces during programs?
    • The CSC has identified several indoor spaces including our classroom, deck, program room, and office that allow for safe distancing inside. Groups will stay within their assigned space for the duration of their camp. During inclement weather, the campers will participate in activities in these designated areas.
  • Will campers be required to wear face coverings?
    • As per the recommendations of the Department of Children and Families, we will require all children to wear a face covering during all indoor components of camp programs. To avoid safety hazards, campers will not be permitted to wear face coverings during on-water activities. If they do not have one, a face covering can be provided to them. Suitable options include a clean single use, N95 style mask or reusable cloth face mask. Buffs are not a suitable option.
  • What should I do if my camper is traveling from out of state?
    • On June 14, 2021 Governor Scott removed all state COVID19 travel restrictions. CSC will continue to follow state guidance, and policies will be updated as new information is released. We ask all campers and families to practice caution and follow the Vermont DOH Guidelines if considered a close contact. More information on state travel policies can be found here ACCD.
